Anise Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
2 whole eggs
2 Tbsps of oil (vegetable)
2 Tbsps of water
1/2 c of milk
1/2 – 3/4 tsp aniseed; crumbled
1/4 tsp of salt
1.5 tsp of baking powder
2 Tbsps of sugar
1/3 c cornmeal (yellow)
Instructions:
Using a big deep dish, mix your cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, aniseed and salt. Using a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, oil, vanilla essence and water. Combine the egg mix to your flour mix.
Stir until evenly combined. Scoop batter into fourteen equal biscuits about two inches from each other. Bake for twenty minutes (375 degrees F) ’till biscuits become set and nicely browned.
