Baking Powder Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients:

2/3 c of milk
1 whole egg
1/2 c of shortening
2 Tbsps sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of cream of tartar
4 tsps of baking powder
2 c of flour; sifted

Instructions:

Mix the flour, cream (tartar), sugar, salt and baking-powder. Make sure to sift ingredients. Combine the shortenning to the flour mix.

Mix the milk to the flour mix. Beat in one egg well. Knead the dough for five times until stiff.

Unroll using a rolling tin to about half inch thick. Cut using cookie cutters then bake for ten minutes (450 degrees F).
