Batter Buns Recipe
Ingredients:
2/3 c of water (warm)
1 pack of yeast (dry)
2 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 c of shortening; softened
1 pc of egg
1 & 2/3 c of flour
Instructions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Add 1 c of flour, egg, shortening, salt and sugar. Using a mixer set Low-speed, beat the ingredients. Put in what is left of flour. Mix well ’til smooth.
Using a spoon, put batter on muffin tins that have been greased and fill them almost half-full. Leave in a warm area and allow to risen out of cups (30-40 mins). Bake in oven (375 degrees F) 18-20 mins ’til buns are brown. This recipe makes a dozen buns.
