Best Ever Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients:
2/3 c of milk
1/2 c of shortening (or butter)
1/4 tsp of salt
2 tsps of sugar
2 c of flour (all purpose)
1/2 tsp of cream of tartar
1 Tbsp of baking powder
Instructions:
Mix thoroughly together the flour, sugar,powder (baking), salt and cream of tartar. Cut in shortening. Mix with fork or mixer.
If butter will be used, make sure to use chilled butter sliced into small squares. Thoroughly mix the flour mix with the shortenning (or butter) until it looks like rough crumbs.
Pour milk all together and stir ’till you get a dough that is soft. Knead for about ten times. Roll out into 1/2 inch thickness. Make use of a two and a half inch diameter cookie cutter, press into your dough. Start shaping your bisquits.
Transfer onto your baking tray and bake for twelve minutes (350 degrees F) ’till they are set and golden in color.
