Casserole Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of milk
3 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
1 Tbsp of salt
1-1/2 Tbsps of shortening
1 c of water (warm)
2 pkgs yeast
4-1/2 c of flour (unbleached, white)
Instructions:
Scald milk then add sugar, shortening, and salt. Let mixture cool into lukewarm. Place (warm) water on mixing bowl then add yeast and thoroughly stir till dissolved.
Add mixture of milk then stir; add flour then stir thoroughly till blended well, at about a couple of mins. Cover then let it rise till volume has doubled, at about forty mins.
Stir batter then beat it for half a minute. Transfer onto a buttered casserole and bake for 50-60 mins at (375 degrees F).
