Savory Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
8 ozs of sausage (pork)
1/2 c of onions; minced
1 tsp of instant onion
2 c of baking mix (buttermilk)
1/2 tsp of oregano (dried); crumbled
1/2 c of milk
Instructions:
Fry onions with sausage on a frying pan over medium-heat ’til browned. Break up the sausage while cooking. Drain fat off and set aside to cool.
Combine sausage with baking mix into a medium-sized bowl. Add in the milk. Use fork to stir ’til dampened evenly. Transfer to an ungreased cookie sheet. Flour hands and roll dough to an 8 inch round.
Carve in 8ths using a knife. Use oregano and onion to sprinkle top of dough. Bake for about 20-25 minutes into a 400 degree-F oven.
