Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 c of warm milk
1 pc of egg (large)
3 c of flour (bread)
3 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
1/2 tsp of salt
4 Tbsps of margarine
2 tsps of yeast (active, dry)
For the Filling:
1/2 c of softened margarine
1/3 c of sugar (white)
2 tsps of cinnamon (ground)
1/2 tsp of nutmeg (ground)
1/2 c of raisins
For the Icing:
1-2 Tbsps of milk
1 c of confectioner’s sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions:
Place the milk, egg, flour, sugar, salt, margarine, and yeast inside the (bread) machine and remove dough once ready. Roll the dough to a 10×15 inch rectangle. Spread the margarine and sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, raisins, and nutmeg on top.
Roll up the dough tightly, jellyroll style beginning with the longer side and seal by pressing the edges. Slice the roll to an inch thick using a string or a sharp knife. Arrange them on a 13×9 inch pan and cover with cloth. Let it rise till the size has doubled, at about 30-45 mins.
Bake inside the oven (375 degrees F) for 20-25 mins or till slightly brown, don’t overcook. Let them cool for 10-15 mins. Drizzle the icing on top.
To make the icing, combine milk, confectioner’s sugar, and vanilla. Blend till smooth.
