Currant Scones Recipe

Ingredients:

Sugar
2 c of all purpose flour
1/4 tsp of salt
3 tsps of baking powder
1/2 c of butter
1/4 c of sugar (granulated)
2/3 c of currants
1 can of milk (evaporated, 5.33 oz)
1 pc of egg

Instructions:

Heat oven up to a temperature of 400 degrees-F. Combine baking powder, sugar, salt and flour. Mix well. Add in diced butter to flour mixture in a food blender ’til it resembles course crumbs. Blend the currants in.

Mix the egg and milk. Add everything altogether, stirring ’til damp. Knead the dough 5-6 times over a lightly-floured surface. Pat to an8 inch round about 1 inch thick. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet.

Slice into eight wedges without separating. Coat with some sugar and bake ’til golden-brown for 15-20 minutes. Best served warm.
