Oatmeal Tea Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 & 1/4 c of flour; sifted
3/4 c of sugar
1/3 c olive oil
1 c of quick-cooking oatmeal; rolled
1 tsp of salt
2 Tbsps of brown-sugar; packed firmly
1/2 tsp of nutmeg
1 tsp of (baking) soda
1 & 1/4 c of applesauce
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp (baking) powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 pcs eggs (large)
1/4 c of milk
1/2 c of raisins
2 tsps of pecans; chopped
Instructions:
Prepare oven and heat to three hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Combine oats, flour, cinnamon, salt, sugar, baking soda and powder in mixing bowl, then set it aside. Mix eggs, raisins, applesauce, milk and oil in separate bowl. Create one small well between dry ingredients and stir in applesauce-mixture ’til flour becomes bit moistened.
Pour batter carefully into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf-shaped pan. And for the Streusel-Topping, combine sugar, cinnamon & pecans in bowl, then sprinkle all over your batter. Have it baked for 55 to 60 mins.
