Rich Raspberry Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
1 & 3/4 c of all purpose flour
1 c of raspberries (frozen or fresh)
3 tsps of baking powder
1/4 c of sugar (granulated)
1/3 c of Crisco (butter flavored)
1/2 tsp of salt
2 pcs of eggs (large)
1/3 c of half and half or milk
Sugar-cinnamon mixture
Instructions:
Preheat the oven up to a temperature of 350 degress-F.
Sift baking powder, flour, salt and sugar. Add Crisco into a food blender with dry ingredients ’til crumbly. Add in gently the raspberries, keeping them whole.
Beat eggs and milk and add to the dry ingredients.
Transfer dough onto floured surface, careful not to overwork dough. Form dough to 2 rounds, 6 inches in diameter and 3/4 inch thick. Mark per round to wedges using a knife. Use the milk to brush tops. Sprinkle sugar with cinnamon mixture.
Bake ’til browned lightly about 15-20 minutes. Check using a cake tester after 10-15 minutes baking-time.
