Cheddar Dinner Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of all purpose flour
1/2 tsp of salt
2 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
1 Tbsp of baking powder
3/4 c of milk
6 Tbsps of margarine or butter; diced
1 pc of egg (large)
1 c of cheese (Cheddar, extra sharp); flaked
Instructions:
Whisk milk and egg together. Add cheese ’til blended well.
Transfer dough over a floured work table as dough is sticky. Divide dough equally into 2 portions and roll each to a 5 inch round and 1-inch thick. Lightly mark dough into 6 triangular shapes.
Make sure not to cut through. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes ’til golden. Best either serves cool or warm on cooling rack. Yields 12 scones.
