Cherry Cream Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 c of cherries (dried)
2 c of all purpose flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1 Tbsp of baking powder
1/4 c of sugar (granulated)
1 Tbsp of lemon zest
2 Tbsps of butter; melted
1 & 1/4 c of heavy cream
Instructions:
Preheat the oven with temperature of 425 degrees-F.
Soak cherries in hot water. For 5-7 minutes, allow cherries to plump up. Drain then dry cherries using a paper towel. Blend baking powder, flour, sugar and salt on a mixing bowl using fork. Blend the zest and cherries. Add cream ’til dough forms a ball.
Turn dough over a surface lightly-floured. Knead dough lightly. Push the cherries underneath dough. Transfer on a baking sheet. Roll into 10 inch rounds. Brush using butter and mark lightly to 12 triangular shapes. For 10-12 minutes, bake in oven.
