Cherry Nut Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
4 tsps of baking powder
2.5 c of flour; sifted
1 c of nuts; coarsely chopped
1/2 c of water
2 pcs of eggs
1 c of sugar (granulated)
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of food flavor (almond)
1 c of cherries (maraschino); sliced
1.5 c of juice of cherry (maraschino)
1/4 c of oil (vegetable)
Instructions:
Sift the non-wet ingredients at once to bowl then add cherries and nuts, mixing well. In separate bowl, beat flavoring, oil, water, juice and eggs together, and add this mixture to the dry mixture. Stir until moist.
Line baking pan with wax paper and pour mixture in it. Bake 40-45 minutes, 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lift bread off pan then allow to be cooled prior to cutting to serving portions.
