Chocolate Chip Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
1 & 3/4 c of all purpose flour
1.5 tsps of baking powder
3 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
1/3 c of butter
1/2 tsp of salt
1 pc of egg; well beaten
4-6 Tbsps of half-and-half
1/2 c of chocolate chips (semisweet)
1 pc of egg, well beaten
Instructions:
Combine sugar, salt, flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add diced butter to the mixture ’til crumbly like bread crumbs. Combine the chocolate chip, eggs and half-and-half enough to prevent dough from sticking to the sides of the bowl.
Transfer dough over a surface lightly-floured and knead 10 times. Pat into 1/2 inch thick rounds, cut to a dozen triangular shapes. Transfer to a baking sheet; ungreased and coat with an egg; well beaten. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Remove scones immediately from baking sheet. Garnish with some butter. Store scones inside freezer only ’til four months. Makes a dozen scones.
