Classic Dinner Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
4 c of flour (all purpose, or 4-1/2)
1/4 c of sugar (granulated)
2 pkgs of yeast (active dry, Fleischmann’s or RapidRise)
1-1/2 tsps of salt
3/4 c of milk (warm, 105-115 degrees F)
1/2 c of water (warm, 105-115 degrees F)
1/3 c of softened butter (or margarine)
2 pcs of eggs
Seeds (Poppy or Sesame)
Instructions:
Combine (1-1/2 cups) flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Slowly add butter, milk, and water then meat moderately for two mins using a mixer. Add (1/2 cup) flour and an egg; beat vigorously for two mins.
Add enough amount of flour if needed to make the dough soft. Grease the top and tightly cover with a cling wrap then place inside the refrigerator for 2-24 hours.
Punch down the dough and turn on slightly floured board. Shape according to your preference. Arrange onto buttered cooking sheets, 2-inches apart. Cover then allow to rise till the size has doubled, at about 20-40 mins.
Brush the top of dough with a beaten egg then sprinkle seeds on top. Bake for 15-20 mins at (375 degrees F) till golden. Allow to cool.
