Cobblestone Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pkg of yeast (dry)
1 c of water (warm, 105-115 degrees F)
3-1/4 c of flour (all purpose)
1 Tbsp of sugar (granulated)
2 Tbsps of vegetable oil (or canola oil)
1/3 c of butter; softened
1 egg (large); beaten slightly
1 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Dissolve the yeast with (warm) water and set on the side.
Place (2 cups) flour, salt, and sugar in the processor then add in half of dissolved yeast mix. Process it, 4 on & off turns then add oil with the rest of dissolved yeast; process the same way.
Add (1 cup) flour then process again the same way. Turn on the processor then process for fifteen seconds till dough has formed to a ball. Don’t process for more then a minute.
If the dough is sticky gradually add small amount of flour then process 2 on & off turns. Transfer dough on slightly buttered bowl; turning once, with buttered side facing up and cover. Allow to rise till volume has doubled, at about 45-60 mins.
Punch down the dough and place inside processor then add egg and butter. Process 3-4 on & off turns. Don’t overmix as the mixture appears lumpy. Transfer on a greased (bread) pan and bake (400 degrees F) for 30-35 mins till done. Take out the bread from the pan then allow to cool.
