Digestive Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp of cream of tartar
1 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
1 c sugar (brown)
1/2 c of water (hot)
1 whole egg; beaten
1 c of butter
4 c of flour (whole wheat)
Instructions:
Cut the butter in the flour ’till you get a crumbly mixture. Add the cream of tartar, baking soda, sugar, egg and water. Mix thoroughly until you get a nice even dough.
Knead dough around five times then flatten on top of a flat surface to about one fourth inch thick. Start cutting into tiny shapes.
Bake for fifteen minutes until nicely browned in color. Garnish with jam or cream cheese.
