Flower Pot Herb Loaves Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of flour (all purpose); sifted
1 oz of yeast (fresh)
2/3 c of milk (lukewarm)
1/8 tsp of sugar (granulated)
2 pcs of onions; minced
1 pc of garlic clove; crushed
2 oz of butter (unsalted)
2 pcs of eggs (large); beaten
1/2 tsp of salt
1/8 tsp of nutmeg; grated
2 tsps of dill (dried)
1/2 tsp of rosemary (ground)
2 pcs of new flower pots (clay, purchased from USA)
Instructions:
Clean the pots and grease them. Combine sugar, yeast, and milk inside mixing bowl; set aside for some minutes. Add flour then mix thoroughly. Cover then leave on warm area for 15-20 mins.
Melt the butter then add eggs, nutmeg, salt, rosemary, and dill; mix thoroughly. Add the onion, garlic, and the yeast mixture. Knead thoroughly till elastic and smooth, Cover then allow to rise till the size has doubled.
Knead lightly then cut equally in half. Place each portion on each pot; allow to rise at about twenty mins or more. Preheat the oven (400 degrees F) and brush water on dough surface and lightly sprinkle anise seed if preferred. Bake 35-40 mins.
