Foccacia Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pack of dried yeast
2 tsps of sugar (granulated)
1/4 c of olive oil
4 cloves garlic; minced
Dried or fresh leaves of rosemary
1 c warmed water
3/4 tsp of salt
2 & 2/3 c of flour
1/4 c of cheese (Parmesan)
Instructions:
Have yeast dissolved in warm water. Stand ’til bubbly. Add in salt, oil & sugar. Add in 2 c flour, then beat ’til elastic.
Add rest of flour then knead it for 10-15 mins. Place in an oiled bowl. Coat it well. Have it covered and allow to rise evenly for an hour.
Separately, heat oil then add minced garlic, cook ’til soft & yellow, then set it aside.
You punch down dough, knead well. Using your rolling pin, roll then stretch and fit to greased biscuit sheet (15×10 inch). Pierce end part of dough w/ wooden baking spoon w/ one-inch intervals.
Spread oil & garlic over dough. Dust w/ rosemary and cheese. Let it rise w/ cover for ten to fifteen minutes. Oven for 15-18 mins at four hundred degrees Fahrenheit.
