Foolproof French Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pack dried yeast
4 c of flour (all-purpose)
2 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
2 c of lukewarm water
1 Tbsp of salt
Instructions:
Mix salt, sugar and flour together in mixing bowl.
In separate bowl, have yeast dissolved in lukewarm water. Once fully dissolved, pour mixture to rest of ingredients then mix and stir to combine. Cover then allow to rise for 4 hrs.
Punch dough down, don’t knead. Put in an oiled souffle dish. Have it covered and allow to rise for an hour.
Place inside the oven and bake it at four hundred degrees Fahrenheit for 60 mins. Uncover bread at last fifteen minutes of baking. If soft crust is desired, brush w/ butter right after taking bread out from the oven.
