Fudge Walnut Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of walnuts; chopped coarsely
3 oz of chocolate (semisweet); melted then cooled
1 c of butter (unsalted)
1 c of sugar (granulated)
5 pcs of eggs (large)
2-1/4 c of flour (all purpose)
1 tsp of baking soda (Arm & Hammer)
1 tsp of salt
1 c of buttermilk
1 tsp of vanilla
Instructions:
Preheat the oven, 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter 2 9×5 inch pans. Place the walnuts in cooking sheets and toast for 3-5 mins till fragrant. Allow to cool. Beat sugar and butter then add the eggs individually, while continuously beating, and add the chocolate.
Combine flour, salt, and soda. Combine vanilla and the buttermilk. Add the flour mix and the buttermilk mix alternately onto the chocolate mix. Fold in toasted walnuts and transfer the batter on the pans, then bake inside preheated oven for 55-60 mins. Allow the bread to cool for ten mins in hot pan then turn them out on the rack to cool.
