Hawaiian Holiday Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Bread Dough:
3/4 c of water
1/2 c of potato (mashed)
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of peel of lemon (grated)
1 tsp of lemon extract
1/2 c of sugar (granulated)
1 Tbsp of butter
3.5 c of flour
2 pcs of eggs; well- beaten
1 pack of yeast
For the Glaze:
3/4 c of cream (for whipping)
1 tsp of rum extract
1/2 c of sugar (brown)
1/2 c of sugar (granulated)
1 Tbsp of liquor (macadamia nut)
1 c of pecan nuts; chopped coarsely
1/2 c of apricots (dried); chopped
1/2 c of raisins
Instructions:
Place every dough ingredients based on bread-making machine instructions. Select setting for dough and then put mixture on board then allow it to rise (10 minutes).
Create the glaze by mixing ingredients for glaze together. Prepare a pan with tube in the middle by greasing it. Pout around a third of glaze mixture on pan. Divide dough to 30-40 pieces equally and arrange them layered in the pan. Then pour the glaze mixture every after layering and allow dough to rise ’til doubled.
Prepare oven by preheating (350 degrees F) then bake (30-40 minutes). Allow the bread to stand (5 minutes) then turn the pan bottom up. Serve the bread while still warm.
