Honey Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of milk
1/2 c of honey (pure)
1/4 c of shortening
1 pkg of yeast
1/4 c of water (lukewarm)
1 pc of egg (beaten)
1-1/2 tsps of salt
4 c of flour; sifted
Instructions:
Soften the yeast with (lukewarm) water inside a mixing bowl. Scald the milk then add honey then the shortening. Let it cool into lukewarm. Pour onto the yeast; add salt, (2 cups) flour, and egg. Mix them well then gradually add the rest of sifted flour, making the dough soft.
Knead gently till smooth. Allow to rise two times and form to rolls. Allow the rolls to rise till light. Place inside the oven and bake for twenty mins (400 degrees F).
