Hot Water Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of water (boiling)
1 c of shortening
1 c of sugar (granulated)
1-1/2 tsps of salt
2 pcs of eggs; well-beaten
2 pkgs of yeast (dry)
1 c of water (lukewarm)
1/2 tsp of sugar (granulated)
6-1/2 c of flour
Instructions:
Pour the water onto shortening; stir till melted. Mix in the salt, sugar, and egg; mix them well. Place the yeast on (lukewarm) water then add the sugar (to activate it). Combine together the 2 mixtures. Gradually add the flour and blend them well.
Place inside the refrigerator till set. Roll the dough and cut to circles then fold them like the envelope. Arrange on a greased baking sheet then cover. Allow to rise, at about two hours.
Place inside the oven and bake (350 degrees F) for twenty mins or till brown.
