Lavender Tea Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Tbsps of lavender (fresh); chopped finely
6 Tbsps of butter; at room temperature
1 c of sugar (refined)
2 c of all purpose flour
2 pcs of eggs
1.5 tsps of baking powder
1/2 tsp of salt
3/4 c of milk
Instructions:
Grease with butter then sprinkle flour onto a 9 x 5 inch baking pan. Blend lavender and milk into a small-sized saucepan on medium-heat. Let it simmer before allowing it to slightly cool. Beat sugar and butter ’til smooth inside a medium-sized bowl.
Whisk in egg ’til batter is fluffy and light. Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Alternately mix flour mixture with lavender to butter mixture. Fill pans and bake inside a heated oven with temperature of 325 deg Fahrenheit for 50-55 minutes or ’til cake tester is clean after inserting; let it cool inside pan over a cooling rack.
