Lemon Tea Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of sugar
2 pcs of eggs
6 tablespoons of butter
1/4 c of milk
1.5 c of flour
1.5 tsp of (baking) powder
1 tsp of lemon zest; halved
1/4 tsp of salt
For Glaze:
2 Tbsps of juice (lemon)
1/2 c of sugar
Instructions:
Beat butter and sugar into a large-sized bowl. Add eggs. Whisk after every addition. Mix in milk and set it aside. Combine baking powder, flour and flour into a small-sized bowl. Add in half teaspoon of lemon zest. Stir manually to the butter mixture ’till flour mixture is moistened.
Lightly grease 9×5x3 inch pan. Fill pan and bake into a preheated oven with a temperature of 350 degrees F for 60 minutes ’til cake tester comes clean after inserting. For the glaze, mix other half of lemon juice, zest, and half cup of sugar into a small-sized bowl. Drizzle glaze on top of bread and allow to cool for about ten minutes then transfer to racks and allow to cool completely.
