Maine Pumpkin Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 can of pumpkin (puree, 15 ozs)
4 pcs of eggs
2/3 c of water
1 c of vegetable oil
1.5 tsp of salt
3 c of sugar (refined)
3.5 c of all purpose flour
2 tsps of baking soda
1 tsp of cinnamon; ground
1 tsp of nutmeg; ground
1/2 tsp of cloves; ground
1/4 tsp of ginger; ground
Instructions:
Grease with butter and sprinkle flour 3 7 x 3 inch baking pans. Combine sugar, water, oil, eggs and puree ’til blended well into a large-sized bowl. Combine ginger, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, flour and soda together in another bowl. Blend dry mixture to wet ingredients ’til blended well.
Fill the greased baking pans and bake inside a heated oven with a temperature of 350 deg Fahrenheit for fifty minutes or ’til a cake tester comes clean after inserting the center of bread.
