Milwaukee Rye Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 pack of active dried yeast
1 Tbsp of salt
2 c of flour (wheat)
1 tsp of Caraway seeds
2 c of hot potato-water
4 c of flour (rye)
1 c of solid packed riced potatoes
Instructions:
Have yeast dissolved in one-forth cup warm water. Add the rest of ingredients. Gently knead ’til elastic and smooth.
Allow to rise evenly in a warm, draft-free place ’til volume is doubled. Shape into bread loaves and transfer into loaf-shaped pans.
Allow to rise. Once volume doubles, brush surface w/ water at three hundred degrees Fahrenheit for an hour.
