Nutmeg Loaf Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c of softened margarine
1 pc egg
1 & 1/4 tsps of powdered nutmeg
1/2 tsp of baking soda
3/4 c of sugar (granulated)
2 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 tsp of baking powder
1 c of buttermilk
Instructions:
Cream sugar and butter in bowl. Add in egg and mix very well. Mix baking soda and powder, nutmeg and flour and gradually add into butter mixture, blend alternately w/ buttermilk.
Once done, pour batter into 9″ x 5″ greased loaf-shaped pan. Bake for 45-50 mins at three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Cool for 10 mins in the pan before turning out in wire racks.
