Orange Pecan Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp of baking soda
1 c of pecans; chopped coarsely
1/2 c of water
2 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 c of sugar (granulated)
1 beaten egg
1 tsp of baking powder
A pinch salt
1/2 c of orange-flavored juice
1 Tbsp of orange rind
2 Tbsps of melted butter
Instructions:
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar together in bowl. Blend in pecans, toast to evenly coat, then set it aside. Separately mix rest of ingredients, then mix well. Add in to flour mixture, then blend ’til all dry components are moist.
Pour batter into greased 9×5-inch loaf-shaped pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 mins. Cool inside pan about ten minutes then turn muffins out into wire racks to completely cool.
