Pepper Cheese Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1.5 c of peppers (green); diced finely
3 Tbsps of olive oil
2 Tbsps of yeast (active & dry)
1/2 c of water (warm, 115 degrees Fahrenheit)
1 tsp of sugar (granulated)
1 c of milk
2 Tbsps of honey
1.5 tsps of salt
1.5 c of cheese (cheddar, 6 ozs); shredded
3 pcs of eggs
4.5 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 Tbsp of water
Instructions:
Saute green peppers with 1 Tbsp of olive oil (15 minutes) or ’til tender then set it aside. Combine yeast with water (warm) ’til dissolved and then add sugar; allow mixture to stand 5 minutes.
Scald 2 Tbsps of olive oil, salt, honey and milk (115 degrees F) then take away from flame and add the cheese. Add then stir 2 pieces of eggs with sauteed peppers. Combine with yeast mix.
Pour the 2 c of flour and beat mixture ’til smooth. Add sufficient amount of flour in order to create dough that is soft; avoid kneading.
Punch the dough downwards prior to using, then press in two 8″ x 4″ x 2″ bread pans that were greased. Cover dough with towel and allow it to increase its size twice. Brush unto loaves a mixture of 1 beaten egg and water. Bake (375 degrees F) for 25-30 minutes ’til gold-brown in color.
