Praline Apple Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of sugar (granulated)
8 oz of sour cream (dairy)
2 pcs of eggs (large)
2 tsps of vanilla
2 c of flour (all purpose)
2 tsps of baking powder (Calumet)
1/2 tsp of baking soda (Arm & Hammer)
1/2 tsp of salt
1-1/4 c of tart apples; peeled then chopped
1 c of pecans; chopped
1/4 c of butter (or margarine)
1/4 c of sugar (brown)
Instructions:
Grease one 9×5-inch (loaf) pan. Combine sugar, vanilla, sour cream, and eggs; beat gently till blended well. Combine flour, Calumet, salt, and soda; stir them well and add onto the creamy mixture. Beat gently till combined; add half of pecans and apple. Stir to incorporate well, then pour onto the pan and sprinkle the rest of pecans. Slightly press the nuts into the batter.
Place inside the oven and bake for 55-60 mins, 350 deg Fahrenheit. Loosely tent with aluminum foil on its last ten mins, when necessary, to avoiding to much browning. Let it cool for ten mins. Combine the butter and (brown) sugar inside a saucepan; cook till the mixture boils. Reduce the heat; let it gently boil for one min. Take the bread out from the pan and drizzle over the hot mixture of sugar.
