Pumpkin Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 tsp of salt
2 Tbsps of butter
1 pc of egg; whisked
1/2 c of sugar (granulated)
1 c of pumpkin; cooked and mashed
2 c of flour (self-rising) or 2 c of all purpose flour
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat the oven with a temperature of 400 degrees-F.
Beat the butter ’til soft inside a bowl. Gradually add the salt and sugar. Add the pumpkin and whisked egg.
Sift nutmeg, cinnamon, flour, baking powder and 1 tsp of salt. Blend dry and wet ingredients together to make a dough. Add flour when needed. Transfer dough over a floured surface and gently knead dough for 2-3 minutes.
Roll dough into 1-inch thick. Slice into squares or circles. Transfer to a greased cookie sheet and brush dough with milk. Sprinkle some sugar. Let it bake for 12-15 minutes ’til golden. Yields about 6-8 scones.
