Pumpkin Swirl Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
Cream Cheese Mix:
8 oz of softened cream cheese
1/4 c of sugar (granulated)
1 pc of beaten egg
For the Bread:
1-3/4 c of flour (all purpose); sifted
1 tsp of baking soda (Arm & Hammer)
1/2 tsp of salt
1 c of pumpkin (canned)
1 pc of beaten egg
1-1/2 c of sugar (granulated)
1 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
1/4 tsp of nutmeg (ground)
1/2 c of melted butter (or margarine)
1/2 c of water
Instructions:
Combine cream cheese, sugar, and egg for the cream cheese mix; when blended well, set on the side. Combine flour, soda, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg inside the bowl. Combine pumpkin, egg, water, and butter; pour onto the dry mixture and blend well. Save 1-1/2 cups of the batter and set on the side.
Pour the rest onto a floured and greased 9×5-inch pan then pour the cream cheese mix on top and top the saved batter. Run a thin rod through the batter and twirl to make a swirl-effect. Place inside the oven and bake, 350 deg Fahrenheit for one hr and ten mins. Let it cool, about five mins then remove the bread from the pan.
