Raisin Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of raisins (white or dark)
2 c of water
2 tsps of baking soda (Arm & Hammer)
2 c of sugar (granulated)
1 tsp of vanilla
1 c of nuts (broken)
3 c of flour; sifted
1/2 tsp of salt
2 pcs of beaten eggs
Instructions:
Combine water, soda, and raisins inside a saucepan; let it boil and cool inside the refrigerator for overnight. Combine sugar, vanilla, nuts, flour, salt, and eggs; combine in the chilled mixture.
Grease 3 coffee cans (1 pound each). Pour the batter onto the cans, filling more than half of the can. Bake, 350 deg Fahrenheit for an hour. Slice at once and let it cool.
