Raisin Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of all purpose flour
1/4 tsp of salt
2 & 3/4 tsps of baking powder
1/4 c & 1 Tbsp of milk
1 & 3/4 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
3 Tbsps of margarine or butter
1/2 c of raisins
Instructions:
Combine salt, flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Cut in the butter by hand. Add in the raisins. Mix well. Add the milk ’til dough is formed. Transfer dough over floured work table and knead. Roll out into a round 1/2 inch thick.
Slice into eight wedges and transfer to a baking sheet 2-3 inches from each other. Bake for ten minutes at a temperature of 450 degrees-F. Flour the baking sheet lightly. This yields 8 servings.
