Raspberry Apple Butter Recipe
Ingredients:
7 & 1/2 lbs of unpeeled apples (large); cored
4 c of sugar (granulated)
1 tsp of powdered cinnamon
1 c of water
3 c of raspberries (fresh)
1/4 tsp of powdered cloves
Instructions:
In large kettle w/ cover, simmer water and apples ’til tender. Once done, press apples through sieve. Measure at least 2 qts of apple pulp and pour into a roaster.
Add in remaining of the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Bake it uncovered for 2-2 & 1/2 hrs at three hundred degrees Fahrenheit, occasionally stirring ’til desired smoothness and consistency.
Transfer into jars w/ at least 1/4 inch headspace. Process in hot-water bath for ten minutes.
