Roasted Garlic and Almond Spread Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Tbsps of oil (olive)
1/4 c sourcream
1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp of rosemary
3 Tbsps of whipped cream
8 oz creamcheese
2 tsps of mustard (Dijon)
2 Tbsps of parsley; chopped
2 pcs of shallots; finely chopped
1/4 tsp of Tabasco sauce
16 cloves of garlic; peeled
1/4 c of almonds (unblanched); chopped
Instructions:
Have almonds toasted in a heavy cooking pan ’til light brown colored. Place the garlic into a shallow bake dish. Blend in oil then bake it at two hundred seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit for thirty minutes, then cool.
Separately puree oil & garlic using a blender. Combine sourcream, creamcheese, Worcestershire and mustard; mix well. Then add in almonds, rosemary, whipped cream, Tabasco, parsley and shallots, blend very well. Chill spread for hours. Serve w/ thin bread slices.
