Round Herb Loaf Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pack of yeast (active & dry)
1/4 c of water (warm)
1 & 1/4 c of milk (warm)
2 Tbsps of oil (vegetable)
1 pc of egg
1.5 tsps of salt
2 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
3 c of flour
2 Tbsps of cheese (parmesan); grated
1 Tbsp of sesame seed
1/3 c of butter; melted
1/2 tsp of paprika
1/2 tsp of garlic salt
Instructions:
Prepare a two-quart casserole (made of ovenproof glass) with round bottom by greasing it. Dissolve a pack of yeast into water (warm) and allow it to stand within several minutes. Drop salt, sugar, egg, oil and milk, mixing them well.
Slowly pour flour and knead quickly over a bread board that has been floured lightly. Allow dough to rise ’til it doubles it size.
Hit down the dough and pinch walnut-sized pieces off. Dip each in butter (melted) and arrange in a layer into prepared casserole. Add paprika, garlic salt, sesame seed and cheese together and drizzle half of the mix on the dough balls.
Continue with same procedures on the rest of the dough and pour the rest of the butter on them. Drizzle the rest of the mixture of herb and allow dough to rise ’til it is almost double its size.
Bake (400 degrees F) for 25-30 minutes using casserole. Allow bread to be cooled inside casserole 5-10 minutes prior to serving it (warm).
