Sandwich Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of water (warm, 105-115 degrees Fahrenheit)
1 tsp of sugar (granulated)
2 packs of yeast (dry)
2 c of water (warm, 105-115 degrees Fahrenheit)
1/2 c of sugar (granulated)
1/2 c of vegetable oil
9 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 Tbsp of salt
Instructions:
Prepare a huge bowl by greasing it lightly. In separate huge bowl, mix together 1 c of water (warm) with 1 tsp of sugar and sprinkle yeast. Stir ’til yeast is dissolved then set mixture aside in warm place ’til foamy (approximately 10 minutes).
Combine the rest of water-sugar mixture with salt and oil. Add 1 c of flour each time ’til dough binds together yet remains sticky. Transfer dough on bread board that has been floured lightly then knead ’til elastic and smooth, adding additional flour if needed.
Create balls from dough and arrange into the prepared bowl, coating the surface. Seal bowl using cling wrap followed with dish towel that is warm and damp. Allow dough to rise in warm place ’til it doubles its size within 1.5 hours.
Prepare 4 pieces of 8″ x 4″ bread pans by lightly greasing it. Beat down the dough prior to using it and turn it on bread board, floured lightly, then knead briskly. Divide the dough to four equal parts, shaping into loaf each and transferring to pans.
Using cling wrap followed by towel, cover the pans then allow to stand inside warm place ’til dough doubles in size within 1.5 hours. Then preheat the oven (400 degrees F) then bake ’til loaves become golden-brown in color (about 20 minutes). Take off from pan and place on racks to be cooled completely.
