Silly Dilly Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
2 packs of yeast (active & dry)
2 pcs of eggs
2 c of water (warm, 115-120 degrees Fahrenheit)
1 box of cake mix (yellow, 18.25 ozs)
1 c of Grape-Nuts cereal
1 c of cheese (Swiss); shredded
1/2 c of cheese (parmesan)
4 c of flour (all-purpose)
1 Tbsp of dill seed
Instructions:
Use the water (warm) to dissolve the yeast. Then add the eggs and beat ’til well-blended. Drop the dill, cheeses, cereal and cake mix then continue beating well. Add the flour and divide the batter into two bread pans that have been well-greased.
Cover the pans with towel and allow the batter to rise while inside a warm area, about an hour or 1 & 1/4 of hours ’til almost double its size. Then bake the loaves inside oven (350 degree F) for 55-60 minutes ’til the bread makes hollow sounds if tapped lightly.
Cover the bread with tinfoil in its last few minutes of baking (last 15 minutes)
Using spatula made of metal, loosen the breads’ edges and allow to be cooled on rack. This recipe makes two loaves of bread. You may also create only 1 loaf by using a one-layer cake mix then reducing the rest of the ingredients into two.
