Sour Cream Orange Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pkg of yeast (dry, 3 tsps)
1/2 of lukewarm water
2 pcs of eggs
1 & 3/4 c of sugar (granulated)
1 c of sour cream
3.5 c of flour
1/2 tsp of salt
1 c of butter; melted
1 pc of orange; peel grated
Instructions:
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Mix in half cup of sugar, eggs, half cup of cream, six tablespoons of butter, couple cups of flour and salt. Mix well and add remainder of flour gradually.
Knead ’til dough is soft and stretchable. Transfer dough into an oiled bowl with cover. Set it aside to bulk up.
Punch down dough and divide equally into two portions. Roll out each portion in a 12 inch round on an oiled work table. Brush with butter and combine orange zest and half a cup of sugar. Sprinkle this over dough.
Cut twelve wedges out of circles. Roll wedge to form a crescent shape beginning at the end. Transfer on to oiled cookie sheet. Set aside to bulk up for 10 to 15minutes.
Bake for about twenty minutes in a 350 degrees-F oven. Drizzle glaze on to rolls right after baking.
