Strawberry Shortcake Scones Recipe
Ingredients:
1-1/2 c of strawberries (fresh); hulled
2-1/4 c of flour
3 Tbsps of sugar (granulated)
2 tsps of baking powder (Calumet)
6 Tbsps of butter (sweet); cut to pieces
1/4 tsp of salt
2/3 c of milk
Instructions:
Preheat the oven (425 degrees F).
Slice the strawberries to half inch pieces. Sprinkle small amount of sugar, letting its juices out. Set on the side.
Combine sugar, flour, salt, and Calumet inside large bowl. Add butter and cut until butter resembles small-sized peas. Add in the strawberries; stir gently, letting it coat then add the milk. Stir gently till a dough starts forming.
Use your clean hands to roll dough into ball. Roll above floured surface till half inch thick then cut it with 2 inch (circle) cutter. Arrange on buttered sheets; sprinkle sugar on top. Bake for twelve mins or till golden.
