White Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
2.5 c of flour (all-purpose)
2 tsps of saga leaves (fresh); chopped finely
1 tsp of salt
1/4 c of water (lukewarm)
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1 c of cheese (cottage)
1 pc of egg
2 Tbsps of butter (unsalted); melted
Pine nuts (roasted) or kosher salt (coarse); crushed (optional)
Instructions:
Mix together the salt, sage, baking soda as well as the flour. Put yeast into water (lukewarm) until dissolved. Put cottage cheese and egg inside processor or blender and process until mixture smoothens. Add butter (1 Tbsp) and yeast mixture, then mix once again.
Transfer mixture into large mixing bowl while slowly adding the flour mix. Knead vigorously ’til a dough that is stiff is produced. Cover dough with dry dish towel and allow to stand in warm area ’til it doubles in size (1 hour).
Punch then knead dough on flour-sprinkled table (4 minutes), then slice dough into two parts and form each into ball. Arrange balls unto the cookie sheet then put cover using dry dish cloth. Let dough rise for another 15 mins. Preheat oven (350 degrees F).
Bake dough (40 minutes) until it turns golden brown and gives a hollow sound if tapped. Graze top using the rest of butter then put roasted pine nuts or kosher salt on top.
